Pre-tan Checklist

Prepare your body for tanning by exfoliating & moisturizing 24 hours in advance. Pay special attention to elbows, knees, ankles, and any areas that tend to get dry.

✓  Make sure your skin is clean and dry before your appointment.

✓  If you wax or shave, make sure to do this at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. As a result, your pores will have time to close, preventing dark spots!

✓  Avoid bar soaps, high pH shower products, oil based products, and in-shower moisturizers for 24 hours before your tan. The barrier created by these products may prevent the fast acting tanning agents from developing on your skin.

✓  Don’t apply moisturizer, perfume, deodorant or makeup on the day of your appointment. This may cause discoloration or a patchy tan result that won’t last as long.

✓  Come prepared with loose clothing to put on after your appointment.

Post-tan Checklist

✓ Let the tan develop for the recommended time, then shower quickly for 45 seconds in lukewarm water. It is important not to use hot water while developing the tan because it stops the activation of your tan.

✓ During the first 24 hours after your treatment, do not use shower gels, scrubs, shampoos, or loofahs.

✓ Pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub your skin.

✓ After your spray tan, moisturize every day. A gradual tan product will keep your skin hydrated and give you a longer-lasting tan.

✓ After day 5, exfoliate with a soft body polish to help your skin absorb even more moisturizer and remain soft and smooth. By doing this, the tan will fade naturally, rather than in patches.
